An original from the 1960s, this rather beautiful linen Moses Gate bus blind is from a route covering large parts of Lancashire and beyond. Moses Gate is well known in the Farnworth area of Bolton for Moses Gate Country Park. Its name comes not from the guy who did that sea parting party trick in the bible, but from a corruption of the old English words mosses, meaning peaty or marshy land, and gata, meaning way across, so the park is a way across the marshes. This bus blind has signs of its age, such as discolouration and other marks, but this just makes it even more attractive.
